established in 1989 in Ambala City, Haryana, is a leading institution dedicated to providing high-quality ophthalmic care in North India. Founded by Dr. P.C. Sharma, an esteemed ophthalmologist with an MBBS from Rohtak Medical College (1977) and an MS in Ophthalmology from PGI Chandigarh (1980), the hospital has been at the forefront of eye care advancements in the region.


notable contributions include pioneering intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in the area, even before its adoption by premier institutes like PGI or AIIMS. He was instrumental in establishing the first Eye Bank in Ambala in 1987 at Mission Eye Hospital and introduced phacoemulsification techniques in the region in 1996. In recognition of his lifelong dedication, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Annual Conference of the Haryana Ophthalmological Society in Gurugram on November 25, 2018.
